Meyer Burger Glass: The bifacial high-performance module made in Germany

Highest quality standards and a sustainable value chain – this is what the swiss company Meyer Burger has built its reputation on. Instead of a backsheet film, the back of the glass-glass module is also made of solar glass. The bifacial cells together with the glass backing also generate energy on the back of the module. The modules are developed in Switzerland and produced in Germany – from the cell to the finished module. And all this with production equipment developed in-house and a high sustainability standard.  

High-performance: heterojunction technology and SmartWire cell technology 

The HJT cell combined with the patented SmartWire Connection Technology ensures peak surface efficiencies of up to 218 Wp/m² and efficiencies of up to 21.8 % in the high-performance modules. The combination of HJT and SmartWire Technology promises strong performance even at high temperatures or in unfavorable lighting conditions.  SmartWire Technology protects the modules against microcracks and the 2 mm thick glass on the front and back additionally protects the cells from moisture and other environmental influences. The long service life of the modules is also reflected in the long product and performance warranty of 30 years with a guaranteed residual output of 93.2 %.
