Thin-film Technology
Refers to the manufacturing technique of thin-film solar cells that are deposited directly onto a low-cost substrate (glass, metal foil, plastic film). Advantages of thin-film technology include material and energy savings in the industrial manufacturing process, ease of doping, and the ability to produce large solar cells with integrated series connections.
