Feed-in tariff
The feed-in tariff gives a fixed price for electricity generated by photovoltaic systems, for example. As soon as the PV system produces more electricity than it consumes, this electricity can be fed into the grid. The PV system operator receives a fixed payment from the grid operator for every kilowatt hour of electricity fed into the grid. This is valid for 20 years from the date of commissioning of the PV system and does not change during this period.
In order to ensure the economic efficiency of the system, self-consumption can be increased by means of an energy storage system.
