Amorphous Solar Cells
Amorphous solar cells, in contrast to crystalline solar cells, consist of a thin, non-crystalline layer of silicon that is deposited on wafers by vapour deposition. Amorphous solar cells, also known as thin-film solar cells, are cheaper than crystalline solar cells because they require less silicon.
