Schletter solar mounting systems: the reliable base for your PV installations
Solar panels rely on Schletter, and so do PV installers. Renowned for their quality, Schletter solar mounting systems are very popular in the installation industry. In this article, we’ll present you an overview of the manufacturer's product range, explain the differences between the Schletter Classic and ProLine series, and demonstrate how to securely install PV systems with Schletter.
Innovation from Upper Bavaria: Get to know Schletter
Founded in 1968 in Riem, east of Munich, Schletter was initially known as AluKon. The company relocated to Haag, Upper Bavaria, in 1983, where the Schletter Group is headquartered today. Since its entry into the PV industry in the early 2000s, Schletter has been producing high-quality solar mounting systems ever since.
With over two decades of experience in the PV industry, Schletter offers reliable and modern mounting systems for pitched roofs, flat roofs, and ground-mounted installations.
Schletter @ Memodo
Schletter's mounting systems are divided into two major series: the Classic System and the new ProLine System. Here's an overview of both:
Schletter Classic System
If you have ever installed a photovoltaic system, you are probably already familiar with the Schletter Classic mounting system. The development of the PV industry has led to an expansion of the product range. As photovoltaic technology has developed significantly over the past 20 years, Schletter has continuously updated the Classic Line. New installation methods and formats created the need for new products. For this purpose, Schletter developed adapter systems to enable installers to maintain older systems and make them compatible with modern systems. The effort that the manufacturer invested on ensuring compatibility of older systems can be seen, for example, in the clamp width: The Classic systems are designed for module frames between 30 and 50 mm and are therefore also compatible with older, wider module frames. Components like rails, roof hooks, and other components remain suitable for all types of PV systems. Over the years, the portfolio has become extensive, including more than 300 products. Schletter now also offers the new, sleek, and simplified Schletter ProLine mounting system.
Schletter ProLine System
The new Schletter ProLine System is a universal mounting system with just 70 components. This simplified design has been made possible thanks to the manufacturer’s 20 years of experience in the industry of solar mounting systems and the vast amount of feedback received from installers. Insights from these installation experiences have been incorporated to make the new system particularly user-friendly. With easy handling, fewer components and a modular design, Schletter ProLine range meets all PV needs, from rooftop photovoltaics to large solar power installations. Since all components come from a single manufacturer, PV system installations are more efficient, faster, and simpler.
ProLine mounting systems are primarily designed for typical solar installations on pitched roofs. The series includes roof hooks, various seam clamps, middle and end clamps, adapters, and the core of the series: the module support profiles.
Schletter SoloPro rail: module support profile for every application
The Schletter SoloPro rail is an extremely flexible and robust solution for photovoltaic installations. The rail diameter has been increased from 30 x 35 mm to 40 x 40 mm, since the previous model proved to be particularly susceptible to pressure in everyday installation work - for example, when installers need to support themselves on the rail. The lighter 30 x 35 mm rail is still available and, due to its lower weight, is ideal for installations on a lighter base, such as on carports or pergolas.
Easy to transport, Schletter SoloPro rail in the 3.55-meter length is available exclusively in our shop. It offers you three major advantages over other rail systems:
- Flexibility
The rail is extremely flexible and suitable for all standard module frame widths and installation systems. You can use it as a base for various mounting systems. In addition to classic pitched roof installations, the SoloPro is also suitable for flat roofs, garages, and even ground-mounted PV installations. Together with the matching ProLine products, you can install photovoltaic systems on various surfaces such as corrugated metal or slate roofs. - Design from Experience
The well-designed SoloPro rail simplifies installation & reduces installation time. Drawing on the experience of installers, Schletter has been able to create a future-proof design – the rail is suitable for various frame widths and installation heights up to 47 mm. The 3.55-meter rail is designed to mount 2 solar modules. You can find this rail length exclusively in our shop. - Schletter Quality
Schletter mounting systems are renowned for their high quality and superior workmanship - the SoloPro Rail is exceptionally robust and comes with a 25-year warranty.
Schletter for your project - today and tomorrow
Schletter mounting systems offer a wide range of applications, whether for pitched roofs, flat roofs or special projects. The versatile ProLine series enables efficient installation and ensures long-term reliability. The manufacturer also plans to continually expand the ProLine range, starting with solar mounting systems for flat roofs and incorporating solutions for future solar energy trends such as vertical facade systems, floating PV on lakes and solutions for agricultural PV.
