The use of a commercial storage system depends not only on the power consumption, but also on the intended use. For example, if a charging station is installed, a commercial storage system may be cost-effective even if the total electricity consumption is very low. If the storage is to be used for peak shaving, the electricity price needs to be split into an energy cost and a demand cost. This is the case for annual consumption of around 100,000 kWh.
First, installers carry out a needs analysis with the customer. The main purpose of the storage system and any additional requirements must be identified. Secondly, the installer compares different commercial storage systems based on their advantages and disadvantages. Memodo offers further assistance during this phase.
The core of a storage system is the cell. Different manufacturers use different cell technologies. In addition to the quality of workmanship, the storage systems also differ in terms of performance and features. Manufacturers also offer different service packages.
Commercial storage systems are AC coupled storage systems. The efficiency levels can be compared with corresponding home storage systems. The efficiency levels are well above 90%.
